Our Story

Where passion meets precision, and every vehicle gets the attention it deserves

How We Got Started

Our Workshop

Look, I'll be straight with you - this whole thing started because I was tired of seeing European classics and performance cars getting half-done work at shops that didn't really get 'em. Been wrenching since I was 16, started with my dad's old Porsche 911 that barely ran. Spent three summers getting that thing road-worthy again.

After working at a few dealerships and specialty shops around Vancouver, I realized there was a gap. People with BMWs, Mercedes, vintage Alfas - they needed someone who actually cared about doing it right, not just getting cars in and out. So in 2018, we opened up shop on Industrial Way with two lifts and a whole lotta ambition.

The name? Cinderveil Bastion came from my grandfather's old metalworking shop back in the day. He used to say every piece of metal had a story hidden under the rust and grime - you just had to care enough to find it. Same goes for these cars we work on.

Now we've got six lifts, a full paint booth, and a team that actually knows the difference between an M-series and a regular 3-series without checking the badge. We're not the biggest shop in Vancouver, but we're definitely one of the most particular about quality.

What We're All About

We're not here to be the cheapest option or the fastest turnaround. We're here to do the work right, treat your vehicle like it's our own, and make sure you understand what's happening every step of the way. No upselling stuff you don't need, no cutting corners to save ten minutes.

Whether you're bringing in a daily driver that needs basic maintenance or a classic that requires a full ground-up restoration, you're gonna get the same attention to detail. That's just how we operate.

Why European Vehicles?

Honestly? They're just more interesting to work on. The engineering's different, the parts fit together differently, and when you get it right, these machines are absolute works of art. Plus, dealership labor rates are ridiculous - we can offer the same expertise without the overhead.

Classic Restorations

There's something special about bringing a 40-year-old car back to life. It's not just about making it run - it's about preserving the character while making it reliable enough to actually drive. We've done everything from full rotisserie restorations to sympathetic refreshes.

Come See The Shop

We're not hiding anything behind closed doors. You're welcome to come check out the workspace, meet the team, and see what we're working on. Most days you'll find us elbow-deep in something interesting.
